I have an iPod shuffle so I have iTunes downloaded, obviously. The problem is the Apple update. I update the iTunes but I don't want MobileMe or Safari and now there is another one, Bonjour for Windows. WTF? Pretty soon that little Apple update window is going to be so full of crap(Crapple, if you will) I won't be able to find the iTunes update I may want. AAARRRRGGGHHH!

Yes I hated that it asks download/install all teh Apple software ever developed for windows. But now that I know what Bonjour is and how it can be used I don't mind the update (and same with Safari).

What format? mp3 files take up a lot of space. The iPod was a gift and the AAC format takes up a lot less. I've seen other players but most are the mp3. Some good news though. Windows Media Player 12, arriving with Windows 7, is supposed to support M4V iTunes video files that I currently can only play with Quicktime.

It's annoying, yes, but IMHO Bonjour is a genius idea - something we should have had in Windows 5 years ago. :)

Well, I guess it depends. I have 1500+ CDs, so there's no way I can hope to carry all my music. 10-14 albums on a 2 GB MP3 player is more than enough for me.

What rate do you rip at? If you ripped MP3s @ 192kbps (around 70MB / CD - that's what I use), then a 160GB player would hold around 2000 albums. Given the way you feel about iPods, Archos[^] also do high capacity players - up to 320GB, I believe.

Never heard of that one. In what way? Almost all the networked printers come with Bonjour built-in. Both at my work and my home I never had any network issues due to Bonjour nor I would think it will cause any problem.
