It was never going to be lost was it. A flat wicket from day one ensured a no-loss situation for Oz, and one they could not afford to lose if they wished to retain the number one slot in the rankings. They almost lost it though, but mainly through loss of concentration.

Any test that comes down to the last few overs is a good match no matter who wins. I spent the first two days sitting in the members stand at the SCG drinking beer and talking shit with a couple of mates. Best weekend I've had for a while.
