Nah, The Grand Negus was more my speed. All I saw was message automatically removed and a couple of threads complaining about him. So, I thought I'd ad a voice to the few others that suggest ignoring trolls. That's all.

There's always an idiot like yourself to bring him up again - see, you already attracted him. Synaptrik wrote: I'm going to go sick up now... That's a marvelous idea. You should have done it before you posted.
What I have discovered is that some people here appear to need someone to hammer on. Like you are doing right now to me. I suggest something like ignore a troll, and people such as you choose to attempt witty insults aimed at me. So, you think I should have thrown up instead of ranting in the soapbox. Fair enough. You're entitled to your opinion. Welcome to it. As am I, and I exercised it. You can just as well ignore my posts you know. Nice attempt at witty entertaintment though Rob. You're content is usually more valuable than this post. Pity. But hey, someone thought that abusive barb was funny, so looks like you're not alone in your sentiments. OK, ignore my suggestion. Hell, even when someone leave CP for awhile, who do they ask about when they return? Negus, Captain, Illion, ... interesting. And I've been on the site since its inception. Just not with this account. As far back as CodeTools.com. I just like this moniker. :) My original account is member # 960. So, you're not insulting a newbie.

Every village needs an idiot and he's the SBs village idiot. Depriving the village of their idiot will not be appreciated.

Yep the village idiot, if you take away the village idiot you must epect to replace him as a target for a while at least. Besides there are too many here who like playing with the village idiot and they will continue to do so. This is born out by the number of rants that have been started and the years he has been inhabiting the SB.

IGNORE HIM....
So you write a post to: A) Remind me that X exists B) I should ignore X Do you know the meaning of "contradiction"? BTW, don't need to tell me to ignore the particular instance of X you referred to. I already block all his posts; can't read them. AFAIK he only appears in SB indirectly, in posts like yours. ;P

Diego, have you thought about turning your script into an article? Currently it's a bit buried in the archives...

Hmmm, ... samosas! :) Any suggestion of a good Indian beer to go with it?

Sure! :-D As for the beer, you'll have to ask someone else; I'm a teetotaller. :)

I was just ranting out loud. I wasn't talking to you personally. My apologies if people thought I was talking to them like children. My mistake, I thought the soapbox was all about the rants. And likewise, I don't wish to fight, just don't see the value in trying to insult me. The way I saw it I could only have insulted those with whom the shoe fits. If I'm wrong and I insulted the entire list membership, then I do sincerely apologize.

You mean when you posted, "Go ahead now children and rip on me some more. Lets see what you got. Maybe, just maybe, you'll engage in true wit instead of the schoolyard insults. So grade school" - That was when we misconstrued your remarks?

Looking for sympathy, eh? Although it's completely pathetic, I'll admit it IS pretty funny as well! :-D

What a fool you are. Even had I a weak personality like yours, I know better that to look for sympathy from Mr Kaiser. But, if he's not totally immune to the calls of truth or justice, that's excellent.
Ooh, snarky. I wonder if it's because "the community" has started gang-raping you...

Happens to the best of us. You have to make that mistake to learn that the SoapBox is really for ambushing people who post a rant. You generally catch 70% of a threads ire just by being the original poster.
Visit BoneSoft.com for code generation tools (XML & XSD -> C#, VB, etc...) and some free developer tools as well.

I promised to do it and still want to. I'll do it on February, after Brazilian Carnaval.

Looks like you are confusing my original post (which is what I was replying to) with a reply later (which you are quoting). I only meant my original post with regards to my apology. Not my replies. If you start with the abuse, I'll more than happily join in and attempt to make a comedy out of it. If it still insists on being tragic then I'll move on. But, if you're really that bored, scour the net for some political piece to talk about. Why attempt to pick apart my words and hold me to task? Do you love me that much that you insist on making me a better person?
