That begs the question, then: why are you acting like one?

You might want to qualify that some more and actually point out what qualifies my actions as a newbie. I'm listening.... ...lessee... posted a rant.... got slammed with insults... parried a bit.... hmmm... I must be new.

Every village needs an idiot and he's the SBs village idiot. Depriving the village of their idiot will not be appreciated.

some people here appear to need someone to hammer on

Yep the village idiot, if you take away the village idiot you must epect to replace him as a target for a while at least. Besides there are too many here who like playing with the village idiot and they will continue to do so. This is born out by the number of rants that have been started and the years he has been inhabiting the SB.

True. He's been on the site a few years, but I distinctly remember him showing up shortly after Red and the Negus left. For that matter Kyle left as well.

useful at getting my article account uni-voted. Other than that it sounded more like a barb disguised as a helpful hint.

You are blaming me because you chose to reveal your sock puppets? I apologise for leading you to the dark side.

Looks like you are confusing my original post (which is what I was replying to) with a reply later (which you are quoting). I only meant my original post with regards to my apology. Not my replies. If you start with the abuse, I'll more than happily join in and attempt to make a comedy out of it. If it still insists on being tragic then I'll move on. But, if you're really that bored, scour the net for some political piece to talk about. Why attempt to pick apart my words and hold me to task? Do you love me that much that you insist on making me a better person?

You're right. I could be doing something important - like sorting my socks. So, I think I will.

Snark is almost always appropriate when speaking to you. How many times has it been, so far, that you've turned to me for sympathy? I know it has been at least twice.

You generally get 90% of the wrath of a select few. I know it looks like a lot, but it's not that large of a percentage of the overall thread. Or you could just consider youself a special case. ;)

What a sad, sad view of the world you seem to have. One might almost feel a sprig of sympathy.
