People still use a dialog to add fonts? How quaint... :-\ (I vaguely remember the dialog from Win3.1, but have just dragged the files into c:\windows\fonts since Win95)

    ----

You're right. These facts that you've laid out totally contradict the wild ramblings that I pulled off the back of cornflakes packets.

I use the dialog (on XP). I'm an old dog and it's an old trick.

I still use the monolog when I install fonts. "Why the hell isn't it showing up in Word!?!?"

I'm pretty sure that everyone here knows that the Add New Font dialog in Vista is identical to the one in Windows 3.1. For those that don't...[^] Microsoft fixed this in Windows 7. How? By removing the whole damn fonts dialog. How long would it have taken them to make a new one?

was is in vista64 or just vista32? Since the dialog was unchanged I have to wonder if it still used win16 APIs and was just yanked from the 32bit version now to make it consistent.
