Nah, and I don't plan to, either, but frog legs are really good.

We have to eat and just because, for whatever reason (cultural? Veggie?), you don't eat frogs, does not make eating frogs any more disgusting than any other animal which humans, as top of the food chain, feel the need to eat. Personally I'll eat pretty much anything that is dead; from roadkill rabbit (yummy) to chocolate ants to alligator to ostrich. It's just food: get over yourself.

Very high in protein is worm. I had to eat worm stew, but I wouldn't recommend it as a gourmet experience! As for frogs, well they're alright, but no great shakes!

meh, frog legs are OK, not something I'd pine for, but worms are just... disgusting X| (to me at least, you of course can have whatever you consider palatable :))

It is odd that people will eat Prawns, but shudder at a Woodlouse. They are the same thing.

I am not saying this in the context of eating. Just for the sake of taste, wiping out a species! I don't think a wise man would do that. And no I am not a vegetarian. And I don't think the Tiger (Top of the food chain) would hunt the deers recklessly to extinction.

They wouldn't. (qv Fox and Rabbits) In fact, it is the fact that we hunt them that keeps many species safe. There would be no Pheasant or Grouse if they weren't farmed as a crop. Ditto, Deer. I personally know a deer farmer, (I love Venison, btw), and he takes great care of his animals, they have a good life before they die for table, and it is a Quick Death, they do not suffer.

You've obviously never seen an animal being eaten alive from within. Or watched the "9 japanese hornets against a bee colony" video.

It's probably best if I don't get drawn into this argument, as I tend to lose my  so I will try adn make this my first and last statement here, but the difference between Man and the rest of the animal kingdom is that Man has a choice in how he acts - it is that fact that we do these things knowingly and of our own free will that makes us "the most dreadful and gruesome beast"

Dave, what's your local dialect name for them? It's weird that they have so many names across the country.

And I choose to eat: what do you do? Starve? Or eat your own high-minded and lofty ideals? Filling, are they?

The main problem is the food fascists who try to change what I eat because they don't like it. They moan on about veal and try to get it banned. F*ck 'em, I like veal. I like pate de fois gras, I like braised duckling etc. What I eat is my business. I make a point of ordering Rare Steaks if I know there are vegetarians around, after all, I care for our plant friends and hate to see them abused.
