Just ate a big bowl of soup, and settled back on my couch with a cup of gin and grapefruit juice and this website for some evening relaxation. Clicking through the forums, i'm struck with how much better CP behaves than it used to; forums load almost instantly, posts expand when clicked with nary a pause, and even the searches are snappy, with comprehensive results jumping to attention at my query (FWIW, John C has used the phrase "gray men" 8 times here in The Lounge). Not so long ago, waiting for forums to load was beyond my patience, and i was spending time writing scripts to avoid it... Now, I can load several forums in the background without worrying that they'll slow down the progress of the one i'm currently paging through. Better than a chocolate mousse.

You're right. These facts that you've laid out totally contradict the wild ramblings that I pulled off the back of cornflakes packets.

And even the Lounge button is back (though I confess to never having used it!)

Ah - it's like your standard of living expands to fill your means :D I've not forgotten about a CP API nor a better way for you to hook into our systems so you aren't doing all that tedious page scraping. And...thanks. I'll make sure the team reads this.

      cheers, Chris Maunder

I've been noticing that, too. WHile I still get the occasional errors on loading, and sometimes the lag is unbearable, that's probably more a reflection of problems in my server than with the site.

        I wouldn't go that far.

I wasn't too worried about the placement of the link (I have my own Slickrun keyword that takes me to the Lounge) but can you make the link have the same background green colour? It really stands out as it is.

          Cheers, Vıkram.

I've never ever worked anywhere where there has not been someone who given the choice I would not work with again. It's a job, you do your work, put up with the people you don't like, accept there are probably people there that don't like you a lot, and look forward to the weekends.   - Josh Gray.

shhhh... So what else did you do? Serve static content to Shog? (It's smooth here, but I didn't have notable problems lately)
