last time I responded to a message (after your "I'm off ... ") with your name in it I was told that I was feeding a troll good to see you back if you're the real Martin Hughes, if not, 'may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits' ... 'g'

Well lookee here! :D Welcome back hombre! Where'd do you go off to?

Yeah, what went on?
Visit http://www.notreadytogiveup.com/[^] and do something special today.
Im pretty sure I responded to a post (although I thought it was odd after his 'leaving note/shot' that he'd posted back), something like 'good to see you, whats going on' ... and Nish pointed out I was troll feeding becuase it wasnt Martin's actual profile. So it was kinda weird - thats why I replied above as such - maybe unfair - if it IS him, great, if not, the troll can rot in hell ! And I think only Martin knows why he went away - none of my business really - I just wish the 'good crew' (and most of you know who I mean) health/happiness etc ...not a big deal Elaine :-) 'g'

Well there's no accounting for folk young Garth, as I remarked to my better half just the other day. Consult the great balance sheet of life (sub-section 2b -- Folk, the accounting thereof) and you'll see massive gaps where the accounting has, so far, not met expectations.

Yes, as much as I think I understand your frustration (to me its a case of good fold being drowned out by pinheads) I think eventually the pinheads will give up and go elsewhere. Rez made a good comment while you'were away, can't find it from here (blackberry on train, very small screen) So I'm happy u and the better half are ok, be well 'G' Ps - and what's with the young huh ? I'll be 44 in Feb !!!

Oh, all over the place. Well, maybe not "all" over the place but certainly lots of places. Well maybe lots is a slight exaggeration, but some places definitely. And busy too! I've been to Japan, I went to see a childhood friend in Iran, I had every intention of going to India but missed a connecting flight so ultimately didn't, I've been to Norway where it's extremely cold and yet the Norwegians seem perpetually cheerful in spite (or perhaps because) of it and I have just recently returned from a whiskey tasting week in the Highlands. Got married in December, contemplated divorce since ;) , met some fascinating people, spent a lot of time haranguing the bank and various other financial institutions from different locations around the world, considered some sound investments but thought 'sod it', dealt with mickey mouse tradesmen incapable of following simple instructions and doing the job right first time, buried my father-in-law this morning (which, as I think all concerned will agree, was a largely joyful occasion given a more repellent SoB never-there-was) had dinner cooked for me, drank just enough to feel somewhat light-headed... and I think that sums up the last couple of months if skirting some of the finer details - which I'm sure you'll forgive me for, so I'll save you the bother and forgive myself for you - and go back to enjoying this rather excellent Pinot Grigio.

It's the strangest thing. I've been spending money like it's been going out of fashion (which I prefer to the alternative of letting Mr. Brown and Co. do it for me), I come back from two month's worth of globe-trotting globe-mooching and find the gambling business even more vibrant and expansionist than when I left. God bless the hardcore gamblers and their little cotton socks. Now about that hamster - hand it over or the kitten gets it :D

Regardless, you still have my sincere condolences.
