    wind - storm, hurricane up - u a month of heat - may, june, july, august ... but I don't know how to combine them ...

      Augment means to increase or grow and intensify (wind up?) aug (ust) is a month of heat

      You probably shouldn't post your guess as the post topic - it's a bit unfair on people who come to the CCC late, and still want a try before they look at other people's answers

        Sorry - a bit thoughtless. But as it's my guess then it will be a good pointer to the wrong direction!

            Deicers anagram of Dec (december - month) and rise = UP - OR Decries Dec december = month Rise = up decries - lord only knows what it would have to do with heat! similarly Marries (Mar = march) Parries (par = Apr = April) Rapiers (April again) Please let me be something like on teh right track!

                      OK, last one - MAYPOLE Maypole is something that you dance around and wind-up ribbons around it! Month of heat - may Seems a bit weak suddenly
