I get upset when I see people saying that the variety of faith you have does not matter, but that you do have faith. If this was true faith would be meaningless as it could be as incorrect as possible. So I thought I'd express some of the reasons why my faith is the best, and theses are not just my opinions but fact. 1. God gives me all the abilities I need when needed, 2. God gives me all the strength I need when needed, 3. I'll get to go to heaven and other denominations will not. 4. My life will be as eternal as the Cosmos being at God's side. How does any of that make your faith better than anyone else's? Colin^Davies wrote: 1. God gives me all the abilities I need when needed Really? Ultimately, it is up to the individual what faith they adhere to. It is not a matter of which faith it better, but which faith is the truth. We are not saved by our works, but by God's grace alone. (now i will wait for the anti-God Nazis to attack my post...) :(

there's nothing to attack that i can see. you've kept your entire point inside the clearly-demarked lines of Religion. if you had tried to attach to a point outside Religion, there would be cause for attack. but as you've not, i can let this slide. :) -c

If God didn't exist, mankind would have to invent him/her. Oh look, there are loads of gods and religions....... Ealine (faintly suspicious fluffy tigress) Would you like to meet my teddy bear ?

I feel you have digressed in your reponse. However, I was talking about Faith, rather than god's and religions, so the objectivity is totally different. Regardz Colin J Davies

I think the key term here is "diversity". If enough people have enough different religious beliefs, the odds of at least a few of us being correct increases. Therefore, the odds of some of us getting into some kind of heaven increases proportionantly. If enough of us get into "heaven" the odds also increase that we could actually stage a rebellion and take over heaven. Once we have overthrown God, we could liberate the remainder of our kind from hell, thus gaining control not merely of the physical universe but the meta-physical universe also. Hmmmm... sounds like a plan...

A few years ago I realised that it is impossible that God exists. I also realized that it is impossible that there is life after death. since I have relalized these things, I cannot understand why some people still thinks that God exists, and that if they lead a good enough life on earth, they will be rewarded after death. Whenever I meet someone who has some sort of faith in these sorts of things I feel pity for them. I fell pity because they are confused about why the hell they are here, that they formed a stupid belief system around God, hell, heaven, jihad etc... Crazy stuff. When will humans ever realize....
