Ultimately, it is up to the individual what faith they adhere to. It is not a matter of which faith it better, but which faith is the truth. We are not saved by our works, but by God's grace alone. (now i will wait for the anti-God Nazis to attack my post...) :(

I get upset when I see people saying that the variety of faith you have does not matter, but that you do have faith. If this was true faith would be meaningless as it could be as incorrect as possible. So I thought I'd express some of the reasons why my faith is the best, and theses are not just my opinions but fact. 1. God gives me all the abilities I need when needed, 2. God gives me all the strength I need when needed, 3. I'll get to go to heaven and other denominations will not. 4. My life will be as eternal as the Cosmos being at God's side. I think the key term here is "diversity". If enough people have enough different religious beliefs, the odds of at least a few of us being correct increases. Therefore, the odds of some of us getting into some kind of heaven increases proportionantly. If enough of us get into "heaven" the odds also increase that we could actually stage a rebellion and take over heaven. Once we have overthrown God, we could liberate the remainder of our kind from hell, thus gaining control not merely of the physical universe but the meta-physical universe also. Hmmmm... sounds like a plan...

A few years ago I realised that it is impossible that God exists. I also realized that it is impossible that there is life after death. since I have relalized these things, I cannot understand why some people still thinks that God exists, and that if they lead a good enough life on earth, they will be rewarded after death. Whenever I meet someone who has some sort of faith in these sorts of things I feel pity for them. I fell pity because they are confused about why the hell they are here, that they formed a stupid belief system around God, hell, heaven, jihad etc... Crazy stuff. When will humans ever realize.... That sounds like your talking about god to me. Now, I looked at what you have said, and in respect you belief in your own faith is a good thing, but attributing it to a god may or may not be the right thing. If you are happy with yourself then thats good enough. But to say that your faith is better than others is incorrect, your faith is different to others because it is your faith not theirs, there is no better or worse, there is just personal faith.

Regardless of Colin's intents (serious or not) that was very well put.

Besides, Satan said this to Christ when he was wandering in the wilderness and he said exactly the same thing. But that would mean that there is no absolute truth...only relativism. There is an absolute truth. Otherwise, how can you condemn murderers. But you do condemn murderers, child molesters, burglars, etc., so there has to be "truth" and "right" and "good". So there must be a true religion, right?
