Late, I was booking that holiday! I will be in Sharm from 20th Dec to 3rd Jan! I would love to see you there. After all the snow and cold here, and the fact that Xmas is a PITA I decided that a holiday would be better.

I know what earnest means and we almost studied that play when I was in school, we ended up studying Tennessee William's the Glass Menagerie. I should have made the connection :doh:

Pure luck really. I was going to guess Frank but it doesn't have enough letters. Then I remembered that Harold Wilson was always going on about "frank and earnest discussions" with almost everyone. Dustmen, Foreign Dignitaries (including Canadians), Local Government Representatives etc. :)

I wouldn't book anywhere with out looking at the 'truth book' websites (tripadvisor, holidaywatchdog,holiday-truth etc), been looking at a few 'good' hotels, but the food aspect is putting me off (all inclusive). May pay more and goto Playa Blanca, Lanzarote.

It depends. "Brand name" places like the Movenpick et al are quite decent, others serve things that certainly look like food but taste like bovine feed... :suss: Might I suggest Al Gouna? Its getaway though, REAL quiet over there and its a 30 minute drive to Hurghada. I stayed at the Movenpick there and it was a gorgeous week.

We did both - I can hardly remember any of Earnest though - never had the extra stimulus of a nice, miserable, black and white movie.
