Yeah, well, I am officially back at work, after weeks of trying to get my neurologist to sign the necessary forms. I am still undergoing chemotherapy, and will continue to do so for the next 5-7 months (6-8 4 week cycles in total). Currently, I am well, no problems, no trouble, and I sure hope that the improvements will continue. My tumor has been shrunk drastically, thanks to chemo and radiation therapy, but it is not gone. However, my chances have improved, now that radiation and chemo are over and have not caused any side-effects.

Hi Sebastian, Congratulatons on the lack of side-effects ! If you are not familiar with ACOR (Association of Cancer Online Resources) : [^]discussion lists (using the older list-serv) technology, I'd like to mention that to you as a possible resource for information and support for almost every type of cancer. They support somewhat-moderated mailing lists for virtually every type of cancer, and you have professionals participating as well as informed lay-people. Their e-mail newsletter on throat and tongue cancer gave me some valuable information during my treatment. Lists vary in terms of activity and participation. While the UseNet news group alt.support.cancer is unmoderated (and thus can have a high noise to signal ratio including the usual flames, nutcases, promoters of dubious miracle cures, etc.), but there are a few people on there (like J, and Steph) who are very helpful. "J" is a veritable walking encyclopedia of information, and "Steph" is a British Columbia board-certified medical oncologist whose comments, while pithy, are, imho, "gems." best, Bill

"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." Ada, Countess Lovelace, 1844
