The people who keep dogs tied to a chain in the yard (and who ignore their constant barking) are bad enough, but the sort who keep these entirely dangerous animals are wicked.

Actually, I DO know something about it. My auntie gave me two old biology textbooks from when she was in University, and I read one of them a few years ago. The theory is mathematically and biologically sound, is supported by palaeontological evidence, and has been observed many times in the laboratory. When you think about populations competing for food, habitats etc., and consider heredity and mutations, evolution becomes not only possible but inevitable. I mean, the whole reason organisms reproduce sexually is to produce offspring that are genetically unique! You need to see reason.

Why do you think humans share certain diseases with animals? Like, measles and tuberculosis from cattle, the rhinovirus from horses, influenza from ducks? It's because the pathogens mutate and evolve the ability to infect other species! HIV and SIV, over fifty diseases shared with dogs, CJD and BSE, Dengue fever, malaria, rabies. Stop being an idiot.

MRSA - methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Was once vulnerable to the group of antibiotics known as the beta-lactams. It evolved the ability to NOT DIE when subjected to penicillin, cephalosporin, methicillin, oxacillin etc. I want you to explain to me how that could possibly have happened without the weaker individuals dying off and the stronger ones reproducing.
