I went on holiday a free man and came back engaged. How are you all doing this fine Monday morning?

    cheers, Paul M. Watson.

Congratulations and Deepest Sympathies ! best, Bill

"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." How strange; I thought you were already married and had a child.

Ugh. I can't bring myself to use that stuff after seeing their incredibly corny advertising in the 70s.

I thought that too... but I suspect it was deliberately naff. I can still think of the jingle, and hence their name! Iain.

considering it's 3:40am, I'm holding my own. Been here at work for about an hour and a half now.

Not yet and not sure she ever will. She doesn't like being on her tummy much. She loves standing though, always wants us to balance her as she totters about. Probably walk before she crawls :)

                      cheers, Paul M. Watson.
