Maybe because it's meaningless and dull? Seriously, those rags are for social retards.

Hey, I learnt all I needed to know about women from them! Mind you, I learnt all I needed to know about Cornwall from The Famous Five, and all I needed to know about Wales from Ivor the Engine :)

Don't forget Yorkshire with Last of the Summer Wine, or Heartbeat, or Emmerdale. Lordy, we don't come out too well there do we?

Gail Trimble, captain of the winning University Challenge team from Corpus Christi, Oxford was offered a photoshoot by NUTS magazine[^]. For some unaccountable reason she turned it down.
I guess she is cute; not really my type. Watching some of the clips it looks like it's just trivia. Is there anything else to it?

*sigh* as the father of a daughter, it depresses me that being a smart female could generate so much controversy.

I am pretty sure much of it is manufactured for ratings. As a man who married a girl who not only graduated with honors in chemical engineering but was also a cheerleader I see no reason for there to be any controversy.

I'm not saying that smart and pretty are mutually exclusive, I'm saying that the response, and the media response, only cares about how she looks.

He wouldn't say it if he thought there was 1:1e9 chance of ever getting to find out what was tatooed on her genitals.

He at some point in the past professed his undying and pure love for a girl who showed him her swastika tattoo, at work.

ditto: still, mine would quite happily rip the nuts off anyone that tried to put her down and is more than capable of doing so: steely hard with an angelic smile. Just like her mum: brilliant.

When my daughter was twelve, she decided to take the "technology" course being offered at her middle school (6th-8th grades). The course was basically bullship and being taught by an ex-Industrial Arts teacher in an attempt to make it look like the school knew computers were taking over the world. (This was in the days of Win3.1) The class, we found out later, was traditionally all male - left over from the days when it was a "shop" class and they made birdhouses or whatever. At any rate, she was harrassed unbelievably, finally being confronted by a 180 lb 8th grade football player (she was in the 6th and probably didn't weigh 100 lbs) who backed her into a corner and grabbed his groin while thrusting his hips at her and making grunting noises. Of course, because young teens think their school is a separate world, her mother and I hadn't heard anything about this until that point. The next day at school, we were told that "boys will be boys." We told the principal that unless the school suspended the punk immedately they were looking at a lawsuit. We ended up with a week off followed by his being removed from that class, a task force to write an official sexual harrasment policy for the school system, and a written apology from the superintendent, principal, and teacher. I did call his parents and explain that next time the little shite even looked at her funny, I'd kick his ass so hard my shoe would be in his mouth - or words to that effect.
