I don't know - it would be nice to just read the threads instead of having them disappear seemingly at random. It's rather annoying, to be honest. Well, in regards to the racist posts - I think it's appropriate to delete them. A number of professionals visit this site and I don't think it needs to contain rasicst posts. It's bad for the reputation of the website itself. So there should be some element of decorum and decency. I don't think it quite matters whose posts are being deleted - be they yours or other peoples. My opinion would be to just leave them and have the option to either respond or just move on. But I don't make the rules.

I know that's just a word and that it has no power whatsoever to hurt anyone. Nevertheless, to use certain words -- and we all know what those words are -- *simply* to try to shock or titilate or offend is such a sad reflection on the user. Why not try to grow up a bit?
