I wonder if any of the old codgers will remember Lefty's Bar

The Lounge After dark just isn't catch enough. A bunch of Code Project stickers to whomever comes up with the best name. BTW - if programming questions are posted in the lounge should I move them here? If they are posted here should I leave them for you guys to savage?

Sounds like it's time for a survey. But there's definitely a general thread: Lounge = drinking alcohol Purpose of this lounge is to allow for somewhat more vocal, seedier, nastier commentary than the (polite, kid sister friendly) lounge. In other words - dive, hovel, grotty grotto, squat, student hostel, student pub (actually anything to do with students and alcohol), pit, hole, hell, underworld, underground (or any other references to long-drop toilets or hades). So maybe we should be looking for a term that encompasses: Belligerents, wanton disregard for polite conversation, abuse of alcohol and students, vitriol, bile and crass humour. I'd start by getting everyone to name their local university campus pub.

I just love Koalas - they go great with Bacon.

For me an obvious name would be: The Closet i.e. a dark place children are (or should be) afraid of after dark. The monsters in this closet can be very real ;)

That should keep the Riff Raff out.

Yeah, but then we'd get all these 'come out of the closet' jokes.

In keeping with the pub lounge theme, we should call this place The Snug[^].

Here's a couple: - The Snake Pit - The Drunken Monkey (needs icon of monkey at keyboard) You should have some mechanism that politely moves a programming question in the lounge to its appropriate forum with a blurb in the email notification on where it went with the link. Maybe even a dropdown list on all messages beside the 1 to 5 ratings that readers can choose which forum it belongs in...3 or more reader choices for a specific forum moves the post to the forum?
