A day straight out of hell so far
-
Incredible. This morning was just straight out of hell! 1. My son, for the first time ever woke up at 6ish and woke me up by slapping me continuously giggling and calling out "daddy!" 2. I walk into my office to find that my laptop hdd has crashed. Its OK, I have backups, its just an absolute pain to have to re-install everything  3. On the way to the Brit and Oz embassies, a twit of a lorry driver rear ends me, not much damage but the rear bumper is now cracked 4. Two blocks down the road a complete fool of a woman driving a Cayenne almost breaks off my right side mirror. Her excuse for driving like the fool she is, she's in a hurry because she was going to miss her morning appointment at a spa! 5. It takes 2 years of living in the UK before I get a permanent residence visa and that includes having to have a job. It is my understanding that you practically can't get a job unless you're a permanent resident or a citizen. 6. The Oz embassy was closed today because its a religious holiday that I completely blanked out about. However, I was told that for permanent residence visas, I might as well apply for immigration. So far, not a good start

ummmmm tell me you're not trying to move TO the yUK? if so, then i suggest a session with a mental health professional rather than the immigration people ... stop now before it's too late ... trust me ... take all the events you describe as a sign to not continue down the path you are on :omg:

If you think the UK is bad Lauren, you should try Jordan. And on top of all the BS that is abundant here, the income is terrible not to mention that I would be completely out of touch with the latest if it weren't for this site. I'm wasted here. Oz or back home to Canada it is.

Wow, that sounds horrible. I guess I can't complain about my day - nothing much happened except for me getting roped into playing Wii with my little cousin, who I swear is obsessed with me.

He'll be 9 in, like, two months. I don't mind playing with him as a general rule, but he knows and exploits the fact that I always cave in to his cajoling, even if I'm doing something else. He also always tries to get me to go to his house, sleep over at his house, watch him play games, help him with games, stuff like that. It's kinda weird, 'cause he's always telling people he wants to be like me when he's older; I don't know why, and it makes me feel sort of uncomfortable.

Isn't your wife British? I know next to nowt about emigrating in to the UK, but I'd have thought that would count for something.
