    I realize a project in silverlight, my objective is use LINQ or NHibernate. I can only software free, framework 3.5 is free... Linq is free? My project is academic, just allow use software free... Thanks!

      As far is I know, LINQ can be used in commercial software on the same basis as any other component of .NET framework. I think you just can't sell software compiled with compilers that are part of VS express, but that could change since I last time checked (and that was few years ago), so maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

        Yes, Visual Studio Express is free even for commercial use.

        From the FAQ[^]

        Can I use Express Editions for commercial use? Yes, there are no licensing restrictions for applications built using Visual Studio Express Editions.

          I'm pretty sure you're wrong about the inability to sell products built with Express version of VS.
