Mouse/XP question

So in my taskbar if I say click on my Outlook, and accidently click it a second time, it disappears from my taskbar. Since I do this frequently it's starting to really annoy me. I searched this weekend and could not find anything about this. Any ideas? It's only with Outlook so I don't know if it's a setting within that or what.

Rather than minimizing?

Try to increase mouse delay click in control panel or right click then select "Open" to get in the habit.
Tomorrow will be better than today, even better than yesterday

Do you have some "minimize to tray" software running? Maybe in combination with a "Tray Cleaner"?

Correct. It does not minimize. It goes away from the taskbar completely. That's what is so odd--and only Outlook.

Right-click Outlook in the taskbar notificaton area and uncheck "Hide When Minimized."

I really hate that feature... If I have applications running in the background I want to see them, active or not. Processes like services and stuff are different, but it is goes into the system tray (I only let a select few there anyway) then damn it I want to see them there.

I like that it does that. I have Outlook on the Quick Launch toolbar, so I use that; if it's already running, it just restores. It saves space and I only need to remember one way to access it.

Use the customize feature to control what shows and what doesn't. The only beef I have is with apps that do a keep alive to make windows think they're always active.
