There's a huge range depending on field, sector and experience. I'm out of touch with current salaries, but last time I looked for a very junior position you might be looking at £20k-£22k and the senior, but with no management responsibilities, perhaps £45k-£50k. Add management responsibilities and you might be looking at £60k+. But it depends on sector. Finance, before they all got their bottoms smacked for being a bunch of swindlers, were probably the best payers - them or management consultants. An outfit providing software to the sausage making industry would certainly be towards the bottom end of the pay scales. Be aware that London is not a cheap place to live; you're almost certainly in for a reasonably long commute.
