I have been reading quite a few e-books on different technologies/products related to telecommunication and I keep forgetting the last page I had read. Is there any way to keep track of that automatically? I use the free adobe reader for reading the e-books but I am open to suggestions to use any other software.

Put a sticky note on the screen where you stopped reading.

Thank you for the suggestion. :) May be the version installed on my system is different from yours and so the option was not exactly what you said but it was similar to that :-D I have an option Edit->Preferences->Startup->Reopen Documents to Last Viewed Page It had a value "Digital Editions only" and I changed it to "All Files". Now its working. Thanks a lot.

You didn't like the idea of using a permanent marker on your screen? :(

I print them. Then I can use sticky notes and insert related material, read them by the pool, all sorts of benefits. Plus I can get away from the computer while I read.

Perhaps a Kindle would be better to take with you (although you probably can't insert notes)? And you're taking this stuff to the pool? Poor soul!

I thought note taking was the primary purpose for the kindles keyboard.

By choice. I still haven't seen whether or not my wireless network extends that far (1/4 mile or so).
