Pavel Klocek wrote: Is the friday 13th supperstition our local speciality or you knoe it too elsewhere No, people "believe" it here in the US as well. So far so good, for me today though. [knocking on wood ] ;) BW {insert witty/thought-provoking saying here}
Same in the Uk, too. I'd guess it's probably a Europe wide thing (and countries settled by Europeans too, of course) -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!

nothing like a bit of Paraskavedekatriaphobia :-D

Ahhhhh, stop it! My phobophobia's going to kick in. Unless, of course, my Sesquipedalophobia*, doesn't kick in first!:eek::~ *Fear of long words. BW {insert witty/thought-provoking saying here}

Friday 13th is considered unlucky combination here. I'm not superstitious, but everything I do today, I have an issue with. Maybe I should better switch to weekend mode prematurely and go home :). Is the friday 13th supperstition our local speciality or you knoe it too elsewhere? Pavel Sonork 100.15206
I would have thought that Monday the 13th was unlucky because you still have the rest of the week at work.... ;P Elaine (clock watching fluffy tigress) Would you like to meet my teddy bear ?

"Useless Friday the 13th fact #13": The Gregorian calendar cycles every 400 years - if you take any 400 year period, the dates will occur on the same day of the week. In a 400 year period, the 13th day of any month is (slightly) more likely to be a Friday than any other day of the week. :~ The numbers come out at:
- Monday: 685 14.2708%
- Tuesday: 685 14.2708%
- Wednesday: 687 14.3125%
- Thursday: 684 14.25%
- Friday: 688 14.3333%
- Saturday: 684 14.25%
- Sunday: 687 14.3125%
Spooky! ;P

I have had, as yet, no bad luck today. There is a large MFC book balancing precariously on the shelf above my head. I will assume that it will not choose to fall on me and knock me uncacsoi^&

Is it something to do with digging out tooth roots buried inside the gum? I've had that done. It took the combined strength of two dentists to get it out. Ouch.
