Indeed it does not. I'm currently getting this:

    Google
    Error

    We're sorry...

... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spy ware application.

To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, if you suspect that

your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spy ware remover
to make sure that your systems are free of viruses and other spurious software.

If you're continually receiving this error, you may be able to resolve the problem by deleting your

Google cookie and revisiting Google. For browser-specific instructions, please consult your browser's
    online support centre.

We apologise for the inconvenience and hope we'll see you again on Google.

I've seen this once before when I was messing around with a app that sent google queries and scrapped the results from the html. I started getting responses back like this.

Most probably if you are all behind a proxy (and thereby sharing one specific IP address), then Google must have temporarily banned the IP where these queries were originating.

Dont send too many requests from the same ip. Make something to randomize your ip if you want to scrape google.

Once I had a problem like yours, and it was a LOT annoying (I depend a lot of Google). After a lot of Live Search using, I found somewhere on the web someone saying that I should clear all Google cookies. This didn't make any sense at all, but it worked like a charm. [edit]Oh, I just noticed you already solved your problem and that Google changed the message to clear the cookies. They could clear the cookies by themselves, though[/edit]

That would remove a bot roadblock though.
