And that is the Correct Answer! Well done, and the solution was spot on too.

ooooooo some one's jealous, room's aren't that easy to come by (we're in a credit crunch after all) and the daily CCC helps make the lounge the place it is!

It's like the pun runs that appear here every now and then, I end up shaking the head and muttering "their at it again". There are some of us who fundamentally just don't get it. :sigh:

1.33/5 (2 votes) Is this calculation right?

I enjoy the 'pun runs', since I'm both a runner and an irredeemable punster. I usually don't see the CCC's in time before a solution is posted, so I've never given them a serious try.

I found that one very easy but I'm almost never early enough to log on. My only hesitation was caused by the ugly Americanism (sorry, friends) of "atop" and the just plain wrong "occurance" (occurrence). Since CCCs are all about being picky with words I feel justified in pointing this out!

It's a weighted average so yes it could have been right.

DD sometimes does skip out of the pure mother tongue. It makes them more cryptic which is probably he's aim. But it's just not British IMHO!

I have a feeling that the total is based on the number of messages in the data base, which may not equal the number of messages shown in the forum. The CP folks may have a need for forum messages that aren't shown to normal users.

Seriously ? Try John Milton, 1608 - 1674 I think atop appears in Paradise Lost and he is certainly not an American! Also, I am sure it is in A Midsummer Night's Dream. As for Occurrence, I humbly apologise, I do not know what happened there! :)
