I would never do anything like that to your ass, you're just sick. :-\

Over the weekend I got Bob ready for rigging and imported into Houdini. Bob in a neutral pose[^] The next step is to set up a rigging "skeleton" to aid in animating him. I have some ideas for what I'd like to do, and I've been studying how to do rigging in Houdini, so hopefully I'll have something to show sometime soon. In the meantime there's some more details here: http://learning3dfromscratch.blogspot.com/2009/04/bob-loves-houdini.html[^]

Maybe you should check out "trueSpace". You can make programs for it in Python, and since M$ took it over, JScript and VBScript, and it'll take you about 30 minutes to figure out how to create "Bob", the ugliest mascot in the history of the internet.
Yeah, trueSpace is OK, but I don't really like it that much. Compared to Houdini, it's kids stuff :)

How many have you got? ;P
Cheers, Vıkram.

I was thinking that was going to be his combined speech/waste output unit. But maybe someone else knows better? All I've got for a reference is the little guy's picture on the front page, which is admittedly pretty sparse...

Nope. All I know is that it's something for building games on the XBox, right?
Interestingly, there is more to it. The whole framework is for making games on both XBox and PC using managed code. But the interesting part is at it's core is a managed wrapper for Direct X, which makes writing 3D code from C# a whole lot easier.

That's what I thought which is one reason I'm looking at it! For pure self interest

SO how do truespace, Houdini and Blender compare to each other?

Bad boy! Now I have to go to a meeting with the badgers effect in my head...

I don't know, I was thinking along the lines of :vegemite:.
Michael Martin Australia "I controlled my laughter and simple said "No,I am very busy,so I can't write any code for you".
