Since it sounds like at least some of the CPains are well traveled, I thought I'd take a stab in the dark and come ask here. What is the most naturally beautiful place in the world? I'm hoping to get some answers based on personal experience and not Google. In my personal opinion, Mauritius, Norway and Singapore are the most beautiful places I've visited. However I'm really looking for naturally beautiful, which kind of excludes Singapore which is an amazingly beautiful CITY. I want to plan a once in a life time trip, but I'm still not sure where I want to go... Thanks!

Herron Island[^] Simply fantastic place to spend a few quiet days snorkling in warm, waist deep water with sharks and rays, and being fed fantastic food at night. Swimming with Humpbacks in Tonga[^] Beautifully moving experience - and if you're into photography book a photography trip with Darren too. And the accommodation has to be seen to be believed - indoor waterfalls (real ones, not man-made) in the bathroom etc. OK - both watery (and I get terrible sea-sickness) but for that trip-in-a-lifetime tick 'em both!

For the most natural beauty spot, I nominate Linsey De Paul.

She'll only hate you when she grows up. Reconsider before it's too late!

A colleague of mine, has the worse case of motion sickness I've ever seen. He gets sick so easily it's ridiculous. He's a keen scuba diver though and recently started using patches, I don't know the name, but they exist, that's the important part. If I recall correctly, these patches are placed behind the ear. During a 3-week diving trip to Egypt, using these patches, he had no problem with motion sickness at all.

I actually tried the 'pressure point' bands when we went to Tonga - spent 10 days out on a boat so needed to try something! I don't believe in all that mumbo jumbo pressure point malarky - but they worked! I lost them on the beach one day - and the next day I was sick as a dog. Borrowed some, and was fine for the rest of the trip!

African safari maybe, if you like wildlife. A pretty good travel-destination list: http://www.hillmanwonders.com/[^]

Thanks Ashley I do love wildlife, and I have been on many Safari's (I live in Africa). By far the best one was touring Botswana. Chobe, Okovango Delta etc, such a wild place! Thanks for the link, already seen some places I'd like to check out!

howzit :) Definitely looking to do a safari again one day. I lived in SA when I was younger, so it won't be totally new for me, but will be for my wife. I'll have to look into Botwsana options as per your post. cheers
