Because I had far more important and urgent things to do I instead added a shortcut to the Soapbox. Press Ctrl and the Lounge link becomes the Soapbox link. Works better in Firefox. Always open for suggestions for more procrastination.

Although given that this page is in the message boards list anyhow, I wonder if he meant to link to the old soapbox ? I'd see the value in that.

Who'd ever want a shortcut to the playground of foam chewing idiots??? (You know who I'm talking about)

Well, to be honest, I never come in here, I use the old soapbox and the lounge. Having to choose between three forums is too hard for me. I like binary options.

Watse of time: the sparsity of posts should tell you that neutering the Soapbox was not a good idea. Now neither is as well used as th eold one on its own. However awful the old one became (The real Soapbox[^]) at least it was fun. Oh well: as my good friend N. Tropy always says: nothing lasts forever... (My apologies for such a bad joke so early in the day).

Works fine in IE 6 too. Hint: On mouse hover, with Lounge pressed, the caption changes to 'Soapbox'. Any similar trick into fid=two six zero five too? :)

Nope, it doesn't. I had to hold Ctrl and copy-paste the url via context menu to the address bar. Ctrl+click doesn't work.

I'm seeing the same issue. If you hover over and hit Ctrl then it sorts itself out. I'm still investigating, but from what I can tell the click event simply isn't being thrown when the Ctrl key is down in some cases.

I wasn't forced, nor do I claim I was. But Chris was ultimately forced to do something about it. I don't think the Soapbox turned out to be what he had envisioned it to be. You got your playground. You should be happy!
