I'm looking forward to reading the "sympathy" messages from the CP ladies. :D

Went for an Italian Meal last night. 50 of us from the local pub had organised it, and pre-agreed the food to a cheap level. 5 courses and a bottle of wine each for £40! We left the restaurant at 1.00 am this morning and I had to carry my belly in a wheelbarrow! The less said about my head the better, as we all met in the pub at 8 and had an hour and a half of drinking first, and the whiskey at the end didn't help! Still I have made it in to work and haven't quite died yet! :)

I can drink loads without feeling this bad, it is the fact I had red wine that did it!

I'm slightly allergic to red wine. A glass or two I get flushes, fever, and hay fever. A 5 l box and I'm dead for two days. Still love the stuff though.

Penne with a light sgarlic and tomato sauce with some vegetable thing in it. (I think it may have been courgette). It was certainly deeee-lish!

It is not a hangover! It is just the poisoning from the tannins in red wine that does it.

It's more the amount of drinking you've appeared to have done this week that's worrying me, there's this organisation that helps you take things one day at a time...

You are obviously suffering from Courgette Head. A well known medical condition that manifests itself after over consumption of the aforesaid vegetable. Symptoms are a throbbing headache that is at the same time searing. The pain worsens on rapid movement of the head. Eyeballs can jitter in extreme cases. People with cauliflower ears are known to be more susceptible. I'd steer well clear of vegetables in future, if I were you!

I can recommend a good hotel if you two want a room?

Went for an Italian Meal last night. 50 of us from the local pub had organised it, and pre-agreed the food to a cheap level. 5 courses and a bottle of wine each for £40! We left the restaurant at 1.00 am this morning and I had to carry my belly in a wheelbarrow! The less said about my head the better, as we all met in the pub at 8 and had an hour and a half of drinking first, and the whiskey at the end didn't help! Still I have made it in to work and haven't quite died yet! :)

That's what you get from cheap booze. Growing... "ripe" has had two positive effects on my boozing habits: First, I know when to stop, to avoid the instant nastiness - vomiting, headspin, that stuff. Second, I can afford to avoid the fusel oils and appreciate decent booze without built-in head aches.

Don't attribute to stupidity what can be equally well explained by buerocracy.
