never said it was bad. The point is that spending your money at businesses owned by a subset of the population with which you identify is the same if that subset is based on race or common belief or toe nail length.

Hey, my only point is that making commercialism racial might not work out to the advantage of minorities. Still, I have always felt that most of this 'white privilege' mantra is really nothing more than the racism inherent to all ethnic groups trying to find a way to express itself against the ethnic group that was on top at the end of history, Phase I. The fact that we are tolerating this bullshit at all is proof that the right group won.

The buy black campaign is just stupid and ultimately counterproductive. The bullshit is the entire race industry mantra that we are all expected to kow tow to. Frankly, being white, I think white priviledge is an excellent idea. Hell, I wish someone would invent Scots-Irish priviledge. But than, I've never been very religious.

Many of the born again christian churches here distribute lists of business owned by "good christians" and encourage their congregation to spend their money there as it "comes back to god" via tithing

I've never heard of that, but so what? Sounds perfectly ok. In fact, sounds like a good idea. I wish the united methodist had that kind of commitment.

But by differentiating between racial bias and other forms such as religious bias you are reinforcing the view that a racial difference is not the same as a religious difference or any other difference.
