This second article is a virtually verbatim restatement of my argument that everyone jumped on me for making.

Maybe I misunderstood what you were syaing. Was it something other than that it wasn't the missing link, in spite of the headline? And by the way, I didn't jump on you.

It was a clear enough statement, you can reread it if you like. I didn't think it was a greatly controversial observation but there were those who took exception.

Once again, I was correct...[^] "What does it tell us about human evolution that we didn't know? Precious little," said Stonybrook University paleoanthropologist John Fleagle. But the fossil is certainly significant for what it can tell us about early primate evolution, he said.

If you don't see the difference between having minimal expertise and dismissing a hypothesis with no evidence and no particular reason other than you feel like it (e.g. you) and having a great deal of expertise and dismissing a hypothesis while offering a different, ostensibly equally plausible explanation (e.g. the paleontologists in this article) then perhaps you should re-evaluate the regard that you claim to have for scientific reasoning.

When you have some claim to fame as a scientist, I might take that lecture seriously. My analysis of the fossil was in perfect accordance with the conclusions of this article. I am actually pretty damn sure I have a perfectly comfortable grasp of the issues.

 Those are some absolutely fabulous moving goalposts there (claim to fame now, eh?), so I'll just fire right back with that when you actually put some reasonable scientific thought into your posts instead of spending 99% of your time constructing and defending polarizing rhetoric well, just maybe I'll take you seriously too, Skippy.

I'm right correct about everything, Tim. Some day you'll appreciate that...

Especially the part about Jefferson wanting to create a country consisting of 13 fascist states.

He would have preferred that to a single fascist federal government.

Chaining ourselves to the moral high ground does not make us good guys. Aside from making us easy targets, it merely makes us idiotic prisoners of our own self loathing.

You'll always be to the right of Atilla, of that I'm sure. Being correct is quite another matter though.

I suspect it's more when we don't do as he says. I kind of doubt he really does as he says. That's how it generally works with the ultra authoritarian.
