Read some posts raving about this over the weekend so gave it a go, and can recommend it - no nicks, no redness, really close shave, and skin feels smooth afterwards. As someone who usually ends up red and bleeding it's a good find.

I think electric shaving is worse for my skin than wet.

Same here! It must help me if you tell how you go about it. Just apply olive oil and shave it off with a razor? Do I have to leave it on for some time? Apply shaving gel or not, etc.,? I switched to an electric shaver, and the shave is not as smooth as a razor shave, but there are no cuts. I must try a razor shave with the olive oil method you would suggest.

I've not tried this; it has been around for quite a while: King of Shaves[^]. I did try the new wet razor but didn't like the feel: the Fusion is best though, of course, a blunt and rusty hunting knife with freezing cold water works best...

Grow a beard. No cuts. No smell. No (and this is the biggie for me) having to be awake enough to shave at that time in the morning... Just trim it every couple of weeks (or let it grow for that Unix Guru® look)

It seems that I'm going that way. Not by choise, but by not having time to shave, though :)

Just wet it for a little while then rub in a few drops of oil, then shave as normal. Google returns lots of instructions like this[^].

I just thought the same thing. But I guess the smell won't be a problem. People won't come that near with this "Show me your beard and I'll tell you your last five meals" look.
