I have hesitated a long time to jump on the hate Bill Sergio ban-wagon, in fear that I might start getting nasty replies to my posts, but I must put my 2 cents in on this one. Bill, 1) You will not have the law on your side with this, not only do you not have any evidence that anyone from CodeProject did it but angry message board posts are not going to hold up in court. And civil suits do not do anything for people that do not live in the U.S. 2) Chris Losinger is correct that that the FBI isn’t going to waste there time unless you can prove damages over $5000, my Uncle is with the FBI I can give you his number if you wish. And trust me your website was not worth $20 million in damages. Not only was it hosted for free by CodeArchive, but all of your graphics were cheesy animations you didn’t create yourself and got from some other cheesy site. As for the software you claim is your like the AutoExe installer you used for Iwhacker.exe, well it’s really Nullsoft’s NSIS installer... next version release you might want to remove the “NullsoftInst” tags from it. That or you can ask Nullsoft if you can plagiarize there work, but since they are owned by AOL you might want to reconsider your actions. 3) If you are as successful as you speak of, and have 100’s of Hollywood actors and actresses willing to work for you. What are you doing wasting your time online with a free website, and dinky products about how to spam people. If you had all that money and success in Hollywood you would not be here, you do not see Steven Spielberg on these forums. The fact that you haven’t responded to any of the replies for this post your started, I will go through the trouble of emailing this to you as well. I close by saying that I hope you do not return to CodeProject, because this is a site for programmers not successful Hollywood directors, I am glad to see that all of your so called articles have been removed from CodeProject, all they did was waste Chris’s and all the other editors time. Cheers!

If you were hacked then I assume you have logs that will show exactly who it was, when the attack occured and what happened. We get attempted hacks in the order of dozens per minute, ranging from port scans, known vulnerability attacks to brute force password guessing against our FTP server (which is hilarious since it's not actually turned on). Before you go ballistic make sure you're not just crying wolf. cheers, Chris Maunder

This is to put everyone on notice that my website was hacked several times in the last 2 days. I made a list of everyone--email,name, website, etc-- who posted a negative comment about me and I have turned that list over to my attorney this morning with instructions to turn that list over to the F.B.I. I have requested that my attorney file a formal complaint with the Computer Crimes Division of the F.B.I. in Washington, to investiget the destruction of my website. I have further instructed my attorney to hire a private investigation company that specializes in such crimes to determine who did it and to file a CIVIL lawsuit against that party or parties for $20 million in damages. You have simply created a problem for everyone on codeproject and I am sure they do not apprecaite your actions that have made them suspects. Sincerely, William SerGio Bill SerGio, The Infomercial King

Please add me to the list of people to be investigated by the FBI; it might be fun (if they can afford the air fare). If you need a negative comment to justify it then make up one and pretend I posted it; it probably won't be as bad as anything I would have chosen but frankly I just can't be bothered. As a special treat, Bill ... my sig does not apply to you! Not very sincerely, PhIl PeaRsoN

Tim Smith wrote: I still find myself very undecided about Iraq everytime i hear Rumsfeld or Powell talk, i start to sway to their side: "yeah, let's do it! those fuckers are evil!" then i think... umm, so we destroy Iraq trying to find all the Bad Guys and then what? well, we're stuck there trying to set up a government that we like. that will really piss off the people who already dislike us (which is probably most of Iraq and 90% of everyone else in that part of the world). and, it amazes me that Bush and Co have forgotten this, but the 9/11 people weren't using WMDs, they were just a handful of pissed off people. do we really need to create more SAAMMs (Suicidal Apocalyptic Arab Mass Murderers) ? if GWB decides to do anything without UN support, he will further alienate practially every other country. and it will set a terrible precedent for places like Russia and China who would probably love to be able to knock out govt's that give them even a hint of trouble. so, as i see it: damned if we do, not sure about the other option. just my opinion, i don't feel like arguing today :) -c

Just in case I'm not already on the list... Stop being such a dick. If your website was "hacked several times in the last two days", it's because you evidently can't write code for shit. Beyond that, if I hear from anyone even remotely connected with you, I will counter-sue you for wrongful and malicious prosecution, slander, libel, and just plain being an asshole.
