how to show bold words.

hi ALL i m developing a search engine in asp.net . when i m entering the sentence then populate a grid view with relevant data, now i want to bold letter that matching word i have put in my text box . plz help me.

put each matching word inside a span with css of your choice. searchword: dog I want a dog for christmas becomes I want a <span class="makeMeBold">dog</span> for christmas
