Good point. Which makes me think that maybe we need an Immancipation Creation Proclamation for unborn babies. And who knows, in a couple of years we may need another one for conservatives, (a Conservation Proclamation?), but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. ;P

Than why was Wyatt Earp able to do exactly the same thing and it never became a constitutional issue? I'm pretty sure those ol' cowboys were more attached to their firearms than anyone around today is.

Too many johnny-come-neos are running around telling people who have thought of themselves as conservatives all of their life, they aren't because they don't cross this "t" or that "i." I forget what the actual numbers are, but I believe that something like 35% of Americans identify themselves as conservative, but only 20% of them identify themselves as Republicans - supposedly the conservative party. I remember when Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me." Now the same thing is happening on the other side of the aisle. If I remember it correctly, the reverse of those stats is also true: only 20% of Americans identify themselves as liberal, but 35% of them consider themselves Democrats.
