Yes, the loin cloths are always disturbing. But, that's what I love about Manowar, it's so over the top that you either go with the flow, or you laugh at it. The music is good enough that I am happy to be in on the joke. Besides, with black metal on the scene, how could this be the worst album cover ? :P

Kill with power! Die! Die! Yes, I grew up on Manowar. They were the real deal back when I was 16 - a long time ago. I recently discovered "Septic Flesh" however. Their "Sumerian Daemons" album is not to be missed. Really excellent stuff, great sound, great musicians, and the old growl actually works well in this case. Ignore the band name and you'll be pleasantly surprised - just find "When all is none" on youtube.

Hi Christian, If I am not your friend because I am not into metal, does that mean I am your "enemy" ? Would seriously studying and collecting bronze Buddha images of South East Asia and the cultural and social, mythologcal, geopolitical and allegorical, dimensions of their iconography in historical context qualify as being "into metal" ? best, Bill
"Many : not conversant with mathematical studies, imagine that because it [the Analytical Engine] is to give results in numerical notation, its processes must consequently be arithmetical, numerical, rather than algebraical and analytical. This is an error. The engine can arrange and combine numerical quantities as if they were letters or any other general symbols; and it fact it might bring out its results in algebraical notation, were provisions made accordingly." I love metal. Cutting it, bending it, drilling it, welding it... There's nothing like the smell of acetylene and burning steel in the morning. :-D
