How much coffee or tea do you drink per day?

I was drinking 4 or 5 big mugs of coffee a day. As part of a new regime (diet), and a general desire to be healthier, i have stopped drinking coffee. I could hardly think the first two days after i stopped.

1 mint tea (large cup) + 1.5 litres of water. The latter is a drop of the "hard stuff": yes the water in this area is quite hard! The tea at work is abominable, the hot chocolate too sweet and I never have drunk coffee (there's a story there that's too long to relate here :-D ).

I drink 2-4 cups of green or white tea during working days (without sugar of course). I seldom drink tea when I am not working. When I work at home I drink 2 cups at the most, but stronger doses ;). Coffee is not my drink, I dislike taste and after effect; on rare occasions I drink cappuccino, and only chocolate flavored.

I never drink coffee, instead I eat lots of sugar. That helps about programming especially for low-level. For web-programming... uhm.. I think it is easy enough to do it while I sleep ;)

Ah, but the question is how much sugar do you eat with it? I once measured out how much sugar I put in mugs of tea for a day - it was scary. Then I cut down.

I used to drink coffee, until I realised I didn't actually like the taste. I would drink tea, but no-one here can make it how I like it, and since I don't want to make it I don't bother. I just drink loads of fanta orange instead.

I drink tea by the pot, from leaves, not teabags, and I like it strong and black (cue a quote from Airplane!). The pot holds about 2 pints, and I have at least five pots per working day, sometimes more! I then go home and have a couple more there.

These days I have a coffee for breakfast and a lunchtime coffee if I'm working and that's it for me. I drink various mint / fruit infusions throughout the day. I feel much more awake since i stopped drinking loads of coffee, mainly I suspect because I sleep better at night.

I have a couple of cups of decaf at breakfast and that's it. I don't touch caffine at all. It gives me migraines, short-term memory loss and general brain-rot. I think more people are effected badly by the stuff than they realise.

24 oz cup to start the day, occasionally some after lunch if I was up late the night before. I use caffeinated drinks more as a tool to stay sharp late in the day at work. If I'm pleasure sipping it's vanilla chai, but that's in quantities too varied to report with any accuracy.

2-3 before work... 1-2 per hour every hour at work... 1-2 per hour after work (sometimes substituted with beer lol!) I'd guess on a typical day around 20 ish...

C# has already designed away most of the tedium of C++.
