Last year was not a good year for my wife (Abby) and I where babies are concerned, but all became worthwhile today at 12:01 BST when Freya Louise was born weighing 2.68Kg (6lb5oz) healthy and beutiful! Its been a very long day (we were awake by 5am) and its now 1:10am the next day. Abby is still at the hospital, being well looked after in a private ward (Yes, I am married to a Jewish Princess) and she'll be home tomorrow as soon as I go and pick her up. By all accounts I should be enjoying the last night of restful sleep I can depend on for the next .... while.... but for some reason I cannot sleep. I feel like I should be doing something - ive resorted to a bit of tidying and cleaning :omg: Its been a long day. Thanks for listening (reading!)

Last year was not a good year for my wife (Abby) and I where babies are concerned, but all became worthwhile today at 12:01 BST when Freya Louise was born weighing 2.68Kg (6lb5oz) healthy and beutiful! Congratulations bud. That's fantastic news. I'm glad that you're all doing well, and look forward to your posting at 3AM when the baby's feeding.

Quick no time to lose - go get wasted!! This is your last chance to do ANYTHING without first having to consider 'the kids'. This is your last private moment for the forseeable future, not even the bathroom in a morning is a safe refuge anymore. Phone your mates and thank them for all the good times - you won't be seeing them again, not without planning it 6 months in advance. Get used to wearing unironed clothes with vomit on them. Finally you need to start mentally preparing yourself for 'The Final Conflict' - the ultimate battle between good and evil, right and wrong, man and beast that begins on the stroke of midnight exactly 13 years from now - the day your child becomes 'A TEENAGER'!!! Congratulations anyway! :)
