Awesome news - keep it up !!!! I never smoked, I always thought it was kind of nuts. But then, I had no friends, so therefore, no peer pressure.

It's my fifth day in a row without a cigarette. I've never gone a single day since I was 16 (I'm 32 now) so I'm feeling pretty good about myself. Take that Philip! and you Morris!

 You're so going to appreciate what you just did in a few weeks. I quit nearly 4 years ago now. Best thing the Mrs made me do after getting married and having a kid. Best of luck man, seriously, keep it up!

Well done! I am currently a smoker, and am likely to remain so, on and off, for the rest of my natural, During 40 something years of nicotine addiction I have learned one or two things about giving up. Giving up is easy. Not starting again is bloody hard. You are the same as an alcoholic, you will be a smoker for the rest of your life. So take it one day at a time. As someone said earlier, never, ever, ever just have one drag from a friend/relative/bum in a doorway late at night. Try not to let yourself have too much idle time during the early stages of giving up. Try, although it can be difficult, to avoid stressful situations. There are loads more, but different things work for different people. Keep it up, and once again well done!

right on man. I just made it through my second week of not smoking. i smoked about the same amount of time as you. So far it hasn't been to bad, but i have to say that going out for some drinks is the hardest time to not smoke.

Good Job! That's awesome! After about 3 weeks the cravings will be 95% gone. You can do it! Just think of all the money you are saving and that your lungs will repair themselves. My Dad recently passed from lung cancer and it God awful. You do not want that. You have made it so far, stick with it!

Good work! The first three weeks are the toughest and you are almost done. If you go out for drinks, take some sun flower seeds or ask the bar tender for pretzels. Salt makes a good substitute. Quitting smoking is damn hard, but necessary. Keep it up.

Congratulations, I still remember the day that it dawned on me that not only had I given up but that I had no interest in ever smoking again. It's a great feeling to know that you've kicked the addiction, you won't regret it. Russ

Go for it, Josh! I started smoking when I was 14 and was up to 4 packs @ day before I quit. You're 20 years smarter than I was.

Its been about a month and a half for me. You won't make it as far as me. Don't you want that golden brown soothing fire? After you work so hard, after that cup of coffee, after that meal, after that beer, strike up a fresh golden brown stick of pleasure.
