Yes. But you should read this[^] and the comparisons between LINQ-to-SQL and the Entity Framework first. Entity Framework[^] LINQ-to-SQL[^] LINQ-to-SQL vs. Entity Framework[^]

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't see where any of these relate to Oracle.

2 links are to search results so he/she can find oracle providers for both LINQ-to-SQL and the Entity Framework. And results for comparisons between both technologies so he/she can decide which to use. And another link about Microsoft recommending the Entity Framework and phasing out LINQ-to-SQL because that may affect his/her decision. I haven't used either with Oracle before so I can't recommend a specific provider.

The best to not answer if you don't know the technology. Obviously, Linq to SQL is no help, so why confuse the situation.

I answered because I thought it might help. I used both technologies only with SQL Server. And few months ago, my friends and I were considering using either for a college project. LINQ-to-SQL had no supported providers for Oracle (IIRC and I think it's still the case) back then and the Entity Framework was in beta or CTP, I don't remember the details. Anyway, we decided to go with the safer choice and use old ADO.NET specially it was our first time we use Oracle. I didn't mean to cause confusion. Maybe he/she was asking specifically about LINQ-to-SQL perhaps because he/she has used it before. I pointed out to LINQ-to-SQL providers and the comparisons so he/she can see if those providers fit his/her needs and show him/her that they should consider the Entity Framework.
