Okay, it's officially summer

You know, when I was living in Texas and coping with 105° - 110° summers I thought it was insane. I have no words for someone who chooses to live in a place that makes Texas look like a moderate climate. :)

Question for you CD (I'm going to call you CD from now on, hope you don't mind. Even if you do, I'm still calling you CD ;) ) : "Ask the Attack Chihuahua!" only lets me be a US citizen! Now I'm British (well, mostly - if you discount the French, Irish, Spanish and Scandinavian in my veins) and I'm utterly appalled! How could you possibly employ such a racist dog?

Chihuahuas are known for their very small perspective, which is perfectly understandable once you realize that they're a very small dog. That said, I've already been busted on this more than once, and it's on the to do list. In the meantime, feel free to Ask the Attack Chihuahua. Just pretend you're a Yank until the software is fixed and you can remedy the situation. :-D

I believe once in my lifetime (37 years) it hit 110F here in Pittsburgh (summer of 1988 I believe) however that was just the one time and it has not been anywhere near that since. With that said I was out all day in the sun Saturday where it hit the mid 80s and I almost passed out from the heat..

That sounds like me when I moved here from the mountains. After 16 years I'm still not used to it, but I routinely work outdoors in 100 - 110 temps. Any higher and I can't function at all.

Is that ever true! Even tools on the porch, well shaded, are too hot to touch barehanded. But my other choice for a weekend project involved slicing and welding steel; that would have been just plain stupid.
