I keep getting a bar at the top of the IE screen saying it is running with Add-ons disabled, how do I get rid of it permanantly?

Ah... the expected can still be amusing  Happened to me for a while though, turns out the shortcut I used was running IE "safe-mode" vs. "normal" IE. Could that solve your problem?

...Of course, we're talking about software development here, where the simplest solution is often ignored..

Enable Add-ons. ;P Okay, that was predictable. It's Friday*. (* Friday being defined as the last working day of the week)

Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

AFAIK, this can happen fairly easily if you run from a link that shows up in the Start Menu "Recent" list instead of a proper one (because the recent list just guesses at the right shortcut).

Somehow this has remembered Aliens to me... ;) PS: I think that (even we are talking of IE (towards which I have no regrets)) you are being a little bit too much aggressive here... Just my impression.

install it, change the icon on the desktop back to IE's, download all her crap toolbars, and then mention something about a security update from microsoft.
