Oh No! That is not so good, Thursday is too much of a tease, you feel it is like a weekend night, but yet, work in the morning, I never really liked thursdays. (Incidentally, when I flew to LA from Auckland, I too had two Thursdays, but I was on Holiday, so it wasn't so bad).

So, I waited to get to the US so I could buy Rock of Love season two, it's not on DVD, only on demand. I get a message that I can't buy due to 'geographical restrictions'. does that mean because I live in Australia, I can't buy now, even when I am in the US ? So, I could torrent it, but if I offer to pay for it, they say no ?

Don't you have a friend or colleague that could order it for you? The other way is to get a US address. Can't recall the name or site but a google should find you some p.o. box services that will give you a us address and will forward mail on (for a fee, of course).

"This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays". I know what DA means - too late in the week to start anything, but not late enough to knock off for the weekend...

I'd say it depends, 1 - the ip code they check when you request to purchase, do they check the ip you are currently connecting from or do they check the ip that you registered the account with (if you are using an existing account) 2 - Caching, it's a pain in the.... but could cause that it still reflecting the your Aus ip and not the US ip that you are connecting with

Go to Blockbuster or one of those other crap video stores and purchase the DVDs in real life.

Or you could get yourself a Playboy and VH1 classics (although I shudder to think Poison is a classic) and it should be about the same! ;P

The way I usually get around US export restrictions is to buy off Ebay.com(US site) there are retailers who are willing to turn a blind eye to these restrictions, and the prices are usually cheaper.

CG I'd suggest the following: Go to your hotel room, turn off all the lights, and sleep the day away. Your obviously having a really bad day, so all you can hope for is that tomorrow will be better. :) Can't you tell/ask your wife to buy it from home and set the shipping place to a place where you are (or pick up place, don't really know how it works)?
