I'm sure it was only a slip of the tounge Chris. No now Chris, stop it.... stop it now.... don't even think about it...! :omg: ** Chris selects Colin's account and hits the Del key. Somewhere in New Zealand there is a flash of light and a load bang. The lighting finally flickers back on to reveal a smoking leather swivel chair slowly rolling back from a computer screen depicting a life sized image of Bob... ** What, you think I forgot to set my ratings? :suss:

I agree CP is a great resource to have free apart from banner ads. At CP's current growth, it must become more valuable than MSDN at some stage. Regardz Colin J Davies

I'm curious as to CP's growth to be honest, but don't really expect you to release any meaningful figures for business reasons. :-) Anyhow I hope you are keeping a diary of the valuable stats on growth as it would make interesting reading in a couple of years I'm sure. :-) Regardz Colin J Davies

Yeah... There's a lot of good info on MSDN though, if only it were properly crosslinked and/or categorized and/or had a decent FAST search facility... http://www.google.com/microsoft.html has become my standby for looking anything up on MSDN these days. :( Shog9 ------ If you really what to get shitfacde tell a crowded bar that is is yourt borthday and hife your wallet. you ka will many more friends.

harder than a speeding 18-wheeler running over me. The contents of CP must be worth millions of dollars. Considering the amount of time that have been put into the articles and the average consultant salary, it must be a huge pile of cash! And the absolutely best part is that it's completly free to use! I'm not paying a cent for accessing it! Absolutely amazing! The competitors just doesn't reach the CP standard, not free of charge, and both of the above. What's even cooler is that you can actually publish your own stuff as easy as one, two, three, without having to go through bureaucracy. Simply amazing. -- Iron Maiden (Harris/Gers) wrote: The rebel of yesterday, tomorrow's fool Who are you kidding being that cool?
Yes, The Code Project is by far the best programming site on the net. There are so many great articles here, it's amazing. -- Dana Holt Xenos Software

MSDN has become bloated in my opinion, There also seem to be a lot of multiple entries of the same stuff, and it often becomes impossible to find anything worth while even thought a search can bring back lots of results. Regardz Colin J Davies

Yeah, no kidding. I use the Google Bar to search Microsoft, but it does the same thing. I type in what I want, select the drop down, and click "Microsoft.com", then it gives me the proper stuff for MSDN. Norm Almond: I seen some GUI's in my life but WTF is this mess ;-) Leppie: I made an app for my sister and she wouldnt use it till it was colorful enough:) Norm:good point leppie, from that statement I can only deduce that this GUI must be aimed at children:laugh: Leppie:My sister is 25:eek: -Norm on the MailMagic GUI

I'd have to agree, I check back at the homepage for any articles every two weeks or so but in general I don't expect much -- except whenever I look for anything regarding the API or MFC. If I do that I expect to wade through 2 pages of results for Windows CE first  -- Paul "I need the secure packaging of Jockeys. Absolutely, this place totally rocks :) I honestly do learn something every day from here, admittedly I'm not a particularly high point of knowledge anyway so the baseline is already pretty low, but its good nonetheless :) Everyone, keep up the good work -- editors, readers and contributors alike. -- Paul "I need the secure packaging of Jockeys. Yes, the best way to search MS stuff is already via Google, But really MS needs to get people in there organizing MSDN properly. Every couple of years they seem to start with a totally different vision from the last organization, and the job only gets partially done. As more docs get reposited in MSDN the situation can only get worse. Regardz Colin J Davies
