No signup or email address needed. Just provide your name and a zip code. That's it. I'm writing this from Mars, already. ;)

Do you live by chance in London which is a small village on Mars, just outside the capital city, Wooble?

Hang on. A link to a random web page asking me to enter my name and post code. Is it really a NASA page or is this some kind of phishing attempt targeted at the geek community. ;)

What's the point? I'll be dead before any aliens actually go to Mars, pick up the chip and enter my name in the win-a-date-with-the-hottest-chick-in-the-galaxy lottery.

Looking at the World participation map and taking US and Canada out, it seems that Brazilians, Norwegians and Iranians are the most eager to get their name listed.

Someday I'll have a piece of Earth with my name on it, about 6' x 2', and I'll be able to spend as much time there as I want. Why would I want my name on Mars, where I can't even visit for a little while? :)
