I like it. UI is clean and loads fast. SMS is usable - something i can't say for any phone i've ever used (though the GMail add-on works pretty well also). Voicemail is nice, transcriptions pretty much suck but work well enough to get the gist of short messages when you don't have time to listen.

Just wondering how this new number could be used... I guess giving it out to only third parties (other than friends and relatives) would help in hiding my personal numbers to them.:cool:

Yeah, that's one use. Another is if you have multiple numbers - work, cell, home, ... You can configure it to call all of them, and just pick up the one you want. Or send specific callers to specific phone(s). Another interesting aspect to this service are the "mobile apps" - programs you can run on your phone to use Google Voice, thereby avoiding the outrageous SMS charges.

Yeah, that's one use. Another is if you have multiple numbers - work, cell, home, ... You can configure it to call all of them, and just pick up the one you want.
