Does anyone know how to make a tray notification icon stay displayed in Weven? Notably the Windows Device Installation (Safe to remove USB hardware icon). I see where you click on Customize and then select Always show icon and notifications, but I've done that several times. I don't know if it gets reset when I reboot or what. I just unplugged all my USB drives and the icon went away. When I plugged one back in, the icon came back. So it's probably on reboot. I don't have time to check that right now. I want it always to be shown whenever I have a USB drive plugged in. Thanks,

That's the behavior by design. If you don't have an USB device plugged in why display the usb notification icon?

Well, the question is: Did you do it SEVEN times?

I understand not showing it when there are no drives, but it doesn't reappear when I plug a device back in. It will work properly (like XP) for a while when I tell it to always show icon and notification. Next thing I know, I plug in a device and the icon doesn't show up anymore. Then I have to go back and set it to always show again. Then it works for a while.

I thought I read that there was some bug in this functionality but I cannot seem to find the article. However here is a work around option... http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window-on-windows/?p=638[^]

I get same behaviour on Vista, so it may be an inheritance problem.
