Give up beer Seriously, most "fat" in the belly is actually distended liver, stop drinking and it shrinks. Also, sit ups, and walking. Making love to a beautiful woman or playing sport. No pie.

You play sport on the XBox. It's much more fun than doing it. (But not as much fun as doing a beautif...) (OK. KSS.)

I'm not a beer drinker so can't give that up and the rest I'm doing already (excpet the beautiful women bit but am going to the gym) It's just not the belly that's going it everywhere else!

Okay, so far I've managed to loss 19kg (that's just under 3 stone of weight) but almost none of it is coming from my belly at the moment. Any suggestions from anyone out there how to shift the belly fat? Thanks

You can't spot reduce. Belly fat is men's energy storage system. You have to lose fat overall and it will come off the gut last.

Along with the others, sadly your gut is the last place were excess body mass goes from. You will find that you probably have lost some weight from your torso, but not as much proportionaly as the limbs. You need to use endurance exercise to burn the fat, diet will not do enough. If you like to sit down then try an ergo [indoor rowing machine]. Try to do a very low rate, say 10-15 stroke/minute, for as long as you can. This is really quite funny. You start off and think one stroke every 5 seconds is not going to hurt. [1 minute later] I can feel it but it's not hard. [5 min] who *puff* would *puff* have *gasp* thou... MEDIC! You got wii fit? Round island jog, three times a day. It'll tighten that belly up in a week. [or kill you]

What Chris said. Also, if you train your belly muscles, the muscles will tighten up, and make the belly flatter. Sit-ups are good.

It's all up to you. Generally, the more the better! Do 10 every morning right after you wake up for a week. Not much, right? Next week, up it to 12 every morning. Continue to up the reps, and soon you'll be doing sit-ups like crazy, and your belly will become flatter. Some say that if you train your belly muscles, you should also train your back muscles, so that your posture won't suffer. Training your lower back is easy: lie face down, and raise your upper body from the floor. Sort of like an inverted sit-up. Do one for each sit-up? (Your belly won't be flat in 1 week, but after a month or two, you will start to notice a difference. I've been there! :))

It's just the way that the body works. Think about it. Once you start needing to convert fat to burn, where is it needed? In the muscles doing the work. Most exercise is bassed around the limbs rather then the abdomin; so thew fat goes from there first. Secondly, if you loose an even layer of fat from ALL of the body, the face will look to have lost the most, then the arms, legs, and finally the torso. Eat less and exercise more, then you will be a pretty boy and the girls will stop taking out restraining orders[1]. [1] No guarantee on the restraining orders.

Sit-ups can be done in a bed, as long as it's not too soft. The inverted ones for your back more or less must be done on a hard surface. Also note that when you have lost that much weight, it's not just all fat on your belly. There's a lot of skin too, and that will take some time before it "shrink wraps" again, no matter what you do.
