Seeking MP3 Player Suggestions
-
I am seeking MP3 player suggestions; something under $20-30 dollars. Hopefully in 8gb range. Something that works, but I won't care if it's broken easily. (camping trip)

Might as well stay in a hotel if your bringing the modern world with you. Seriously, if you are looking for something that is not easily broken then I suggest getting one of those 50 dollar affairs from Walmart or some other electronics retailer. They are small, cheap, and light. Meaning a drop onto concrete may not damage them as bad as others.

A quick search on NewEgg found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855507014[^] Looks pretty crappy. My youngest daughter has one of these. It's only 2GB, but the AAA battery makes it nice for traveling: http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Sansa-m250-Player-Black/dp/B000BP8AY2/ref=sr_1_34?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1248728304&sr=1-34[^]

I've got a 4gb sandisk sidewalk chalk. I got about 2 years of use out of it before the audio jack started failing. You get what you pay for, but if you don't need/want any sort of advanced play list management it does the job.

It's only a 1GB model, but a few months ago I bought a Samsung Pebble[^]. It was only $20 at Fry's. On the other hand, a player that uses a (AAA) battery (rather than charge from USB) might make more sense for a camping trip.

If this was in the C# forum... IMP3Player player = MP3Factory.GetPlayer(TripType.Camping); Console.WriteLine(player.ToString()); *******output: Harmonica

bool fun = (TripType.Camping.Contains("Harmonica" + "Beer")) ? true : false;
